How to Pull Foreclosure (SP) Records in Moore County

Go to the NC Courts Portal

Navigate to portal-nc.tylertech.cloud. You will see a human verification page.

Solve the CAPTCHA

Click Begin, then solve the image grid puzzle (e.g. "Choose all the hats"). Select the matching images and click Confirm. You may need to solve 2 rounds.

After passing verification, the Smart Search page appears with a search field and Submit button.

Open Advanced Filtering Options

Click Advanced Filtering Options below the Submit button. This reveals county selection, date filters, and case status filters.

Select Moore County

Under Filter by Location, uncheck All Locations. Scroll down and check Moore County only.

Use the Foreclosure Pattern

Enter 26SP00**** in the Search Criteria field. This searches for Special Proceeding (mortgage foreclosure) cases. Set Case Status to Pending and set your date range.

Submit & Review Results

Click Submit and wait for results. Look for cases titled "IN THE MATTER OF THE FORECLOSURE OF A DEED OF TRUST". These are mortgage foreclosure filings.

Download Documents

Click each Case Number to open the case detail page. Download all PDFs by clicking the document icons. The key document is the Notice of Foreclosure Sale which contains the property address (look for "commonly known as").

Record the Data

For each case, record: Case Number, owner name, Property Address, hearing/sale date, mortgage amount, and the URL.
