How do I find code violation leads in Tucson, Arizona?
Tucson code enforcement leads are free on the city's open GIS data portal, gisdata.tucsonaz.gov. Open the Code Cases - Last 60 Days dataset, filter to open cases, sort by opened date, and download the whole list as a CSV spreadsheet.
How do I pull code violations records step by step?
The City of Tucson publishes every code enforcement case opened or updated in the last 60 days on its official open GIS data portal at gisdata.tucsonaz.gov.
Go to the Tucson Open Data portal
Navigate to gisdata.tucsonaz.gov. This is the City of Tucson's official open GIS data portal.
Open the Code Cases dataset
Search for Code Cases and open the dataset named Code Cases - Last 60 Days, or go straight to the dataset page. It is a rolling window of every code enforcement case opened or updated in the last 60 days, so pull it at least monthly or you will miss leads.
Open the data table
On the dataset page, click View data table (next to the record count) to browse the cases as a table.
Filter and sort for open cases
Click the funnel (filter) icon beside the table and filter the status column to open/active cases (blank CLOSEDDATE also means the case is still open), then click the OPENEDDATE column header to sort with the newest cases first.
Download the list
Back on the dataset page, click Download and choose CSV to export the 60-day case file into a spreadsheet.
Record the data
For each case, capture the case number (CASENUMBER), case type, status, property address (MainAddress), parcel number (PARCEL), opened date, and closed date if any. Run the parcel number through the Pima County Assessor site to get the owner's name and mailing address.
