Watch out for these
- Past sales can stay on the list. Cabarrus and Craven showed older sale dates with the status in the upset bid period. Check the status, not only the date.
- Cherokee gives case number, owner, PIN and opening bid, but no street address. One row says VARIOUS PROPERTIES instead of a PIN.
- The Cherokee page said Thursday, November 24, 2026, but that date is a Tuesday. Confirm the date with the county before you rely on it.
- Some rows have no house number. Edgecombe has road names only on some rows and Craven has entries like Near corner of. Do not guess the number.
- The Edgecombe table is wide. On a small screen, scroll right to see the file number.
- In Halifax, the top Tax Foreclosures folder looked empty. The files were in the In Rem Tax Judgments folder under it. These files are judgments, not sale notices.
- The counties warn buyers to do their own research. Confirm details with the county before you act on them.
