What it is

A lien is a recorded claim against a property for money owed. It can come from a contractor, a government office, an association or another creditor.

Why it matters

An owner with unpaid liens may be under money pressure. A lien also tells you what must be paid when the property sells.

The fields you get

  • Status
  • Direct name
  • Reverse name
  • Record date
  • Document type
  • Book and page
  • Instrument number
  • Legal description
  • Lot, block and subdivision

The search page shows how far the records are verified. On the day we checked, it said through 11/03/2026.
